Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the POTS Ecosystem website (potsdefi.com), the Pots Market prediction platform, the Pots Money decentralized application ("dApp"), and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using any of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and geographic restrictions
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services. You confirm that you are not a resident of, or located in, any jurisdiction where the use of cryptocurrency, DeFi protocols, or prediction markets is restricted or prohibited, including sanctioned countries or regions identified by relevant regulatory bodies.
We may restrict or block access to the Services based on your location. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the Services complies with the laws of your jurisdiction.
3. Nature of the services
POTS Ecosystem provides two distinct products:
- Pots Market — a non-custodial binary prediction market platform operating on Polymarket's shared CLOB, settling on Polygon via CTF Exchange.
- Pots Money — smart-contract-based bonding, staking, and treasury management on BNB Smart Chain, issuing the IBS token and POTS governance token.
Both services are non-custodial: we never take possession of your private keys or assets. All transactions are executed peer-to-contract on public blockchains and are permanent and irreversible.
4. Pots Market — prediction market terms
Trading risks
Prediction markets involve financial risk, including the potential loss of your entire position. Outcomes are uncertain and past results do not guarantee future performance. Yes and No outcome tokens sum to $1.00 USD at all times; the winning side pays $1.00 at resolution. You trade at your own risk.
Order signing
Every order on Pots Market is EIP-712 signed by your own private key. The platform routes orders to Polymarket's shared CLOB but never takes custody of your assets or signs on your behalf. You are solely responsible for the orders you sign.
Market resolution
Market outcomes are determined by Polymarket's oracle infrastructure. POTS Ecosystem does not control resolution and accepts no liability for resolution outcomes.
5. Pots Money — DeFi protocol terms
IBS token
IBS (Intelligent Bonding System) is an algorithmic, collateral-backed token with a designed $1 collateral floor — not a peg and not a guarantee. The $1 floor is a protocol design target enforced by on-chain LP collateral. IBS can trade above $1; it is not a stablecoin. Past collateral ratios do not guarantee future performance.
Bonding and staking
Bonding and staking mechanisms distribute rewards from protocol activity. Displayed APYs, premium indices, and reward projections are informational estimates based on current conditions, not guaranteed returns. Rates change in real time and may reach zero.
Smart Treasury
The Smart Treasury (V_LP, T_RBS, T_ST, T_PBM) operates autonomously via audited smart contracts. The 25-of-50 multi-sig governance threshold is designed to prevent unilateral action; it does not eliminate all governance risk.
6. General risks
You understand and accept the risks inherent in using DeFi protocols and prediction markets, including but not limited to:
- Smart contract vulnerabilities, even after independent audits
- Volatility and total or partial loss of value of digital assets
- Network congestion, gas fee fluctuations, and failed transactions
- Regulatory changes that may impact availability of the Services
- Phishing, social engineering, and wallet compromise
- Oracle failures or delays affecting market settlement
You are solely responsible for evaluating these risks and for any decision to interact with the Services.
7. No investment advice
Information presented through the Services — including dashboards, APYs, premium indices, token statistics, and prediction market data — is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Services constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Consult qualified professionals before making decisions involving digital assets.
8. Prohibited activities
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Engage in money laundering, terrorist financing, or any unlawful activity
- Attempt to exploit smart contract vulnerabilities or manipulate markets
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools that interfere with normal operations
- Violate applicable laws or third-party rights
- Circumvent geographic restrictions through VPNs or other means where prohibited
9. Intellectual property
All content on the website, including the POTS name, IBS token logo, text, graphics, and audited code references, is the property of POTS Ecosystem or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The underlying open-source smart contract code is governed by the licenses published in our public repositories.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, POTS Ecosystem disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall POTS Ecosystem, its contributors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services, including loss of profits, digital assets, or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Modifications
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. The "Last updated" date indicates when revisions take effect. Continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
