Frequently Asked
Questions
Everything you need to know about the POTS Ecosystem, Pots Market, Pots Money, IBS token, Smart Treasury, and how to participate safely. For definitions of DeFi and prediction market terms, see the POTS Glossary.
POTS Ecosystem
01 What is the POTS Ecosystem?
POTS is a decentralized infrastructure with two synergistic engines: Pots Market (binary prediction markets on Polymarket's shared CLOB) and Pots Money (algorithmic IBS token with four-layer Smart Treasury). Each engine makes the other more powerful through a compounding flywheel.
02 What does "POTS" stand for?
POTS is the plural of "Pot" (Prize Pool) — a place where the hopes of humanity converge. It represents the ecosystem's role as the ultimate Human Nature Facility: harnessing the innate human drive to predict into infrastructure for truth and capital.
03 What is the POTS vision?
To create the finality of truth — an immutable, decentralized consensus layer for prediction, analogous to what Bitcoin created for value. The long-term end state is POTS-native infrastructure for the entire prediction and DeFi ecosystem.
04 Is POTS open-source?
Yes. All POTS Money smart contracts are open-source and verifiable on BSCScan. Pots Market settlement occurs via the Gnosis CTF Exchange, which is also open-source and audited by ChainSecurity.
Pots Market
01 What is Pots Market?
Pots Market is a non-custodial binary prediction platform operating as a Polymarket Builder. All orders access Polymarket's Central Limit Order Book (CLOB). Trades settle on Polygon via the CTF Exchange. Every order is EIP-712 signed by the user's private key.
02 Is Pots Market the same as Polymarket?
Pots Market is a Polymarket Builder — same CLOB, same CTF Exchange, same ERC1155 tokens. There is no separate orderbook. Pots Market adds the POTS token economy on top, not between the user and settlement.
03 How does Yes/No pricing work?
Every market produces two ERC1155 tokens: Yes and No. The rule is Yes + No = $1.00. A Yes token at $0.65 implies a 65% probability. At resolution, winning tokens pay $1.00; losing tokens pay $0. Every pair is backed by exactly $1 locked in a smart contract.
04 How accurate are prediction markets?
Polymarket accuracy data: 90.4% accurate 1 month before resolution, 94% at 1 week, 95.8% at 1 day, 96.7% at 4 hours. Markets converge on truth as resolution approaches. Source: polymarket.com/accuracy.
05 Can the operator access my funds on Pots Market?
No. Every order is EIP-712 signed by your private key. The operator cannot set prices, execute unauthorized trades, or access user funds. Settlement occurs via the CTF Exchange — a structural guarantee, not a promise.
IBS Token
01 What is IBS token?
IBS (Intelligent Bonding System) is the algorithmic, collateral-backed native token of Pots Money. Every IBS is backed by at least $1 USD in LP collateral. Supply is algorithmic — it mints when collateral is deposited and burns when stabilization mechanisms activate.
02 What is the IBS $1 floor?
Every IBS in circulation is backed by at least $1 USD equivalent in protocol-owned LP assets. This is the primary backing — not a peg. IBS can and is designed to trade above $1 as ecosystem activity grows. The floor is enforced by the three-layer treasury.
03 What is the IBS contract address?
IBS Token on BSC: 0x255e746aBb8D9Acac00d6d023e5E63E3b8DFA7cd. Verify on BSCScan: bscscan.com/token/0x255e746aBb8D9Acac00d6d023e5E63E3b8DFA7cd. Also tracked on CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, GeckoTerminal, DEXTools, and DEXScreener.
04 Is IBS a stablecoin?
No. IBS has a $1 minimum floor, not a $1 peg. It is not designed to stay at $1 — it can appreciate above that floor as ecosystem activity grows. Unlike stablecoins, IBS is designed to be internet-native money that captures value from protocol activity.
Smart Treasury
01 What is the Smart Treasury?
The Smart Treasury is a four-layer reserve: V_LP (permanent protocol-owned LP, immutable), T_RBS (automated range-bounded stability reserve), T_ST (multi-sig solvency guarantee), and T_PBM (POTS bid pool). The solvency condition (V_LP + T_RBS + T_ST) / circulating IBS ≥ 1 is maintained at all times.
02 What does 25-of-50 multi-sig mean?
25 of 50 keyholders must sign to approve any strategic treasury action — deploying the Safety Treasury, updating parameters, or making strategic allocations. No single actor, including the founding team, can unilaterally access treasury funds.
03 Can the protocol LP be removed?
No. V_LP is locked in the Blackhole LP pool and is immutable. No actor can move or remove it under any circumstance. This permanent liquidity floor is the foundational backing for every IBS in circulation.
Security
01 Has POTS been audited?
Yes. POTS smart contracts are audited by CertiK (4,000+ projects, $360B+ secured) and Bitlabs (DeFi specialist, formal verification). All audit reports are publicly available at /security/.
02 What is the POTS bug bounty?
$1,000,000 USD bug bounty via CertiK Skynet. Covers all critical vulnerabilities in POTS smart contracts. To report: [email protected]. Include steps to reproduce. Do not disclose publicly before resolution.
03 How do I verify POTS contracts?
All canonical contract addresses are at /resources/contracts/ with direct BSCScan links. Always verify through official channels before interacting with any contract. POTS will never ask you to interact with unlisted contracts.
Participation
01 How do I start using Pots Market?
You need a Web3 wallet (MetaMask or WalletConnect compatible), USDC on Polygon for trading, and access to pots.market. All trades are non-custodial — your wallet is your account. See /join/ for a step-by-step guide.
02 What are the risks of participating in POTS?
POTS ecosystem participation involves smart contract risk, liquidity risk, market risk, and governance risk. IBS has a $1 floor design target — not a guarantee of value. Prediction market trading involves the risk of losing your stake. Users should verify contracts and assess risk before interacting.
